Research
A systematic review of randomised double blind control trials (1) totalling 728 participants found acupuncture to be superior to the use of NSAIDS in reducing the pain associated with CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome). It was also found to be more effective in symptom management and motor function improvement when used in conjunction with splinting rather than splinting alone.
Another randomised double blind control trial (2) found acupuncture and splinting to be significantly more effective in reducing pain and improving motor function than splinting and supplementation of B1 and B6 alone.
