What is the cancellation policy?

We appreciate that unforeseen circumstances arise from time to time that may affect your ability to attend your scheduled appointment.
Should this occur, please provide at least 24 - 48 hours notice as missed appointments deny others the opportunity of a treatment.
Please note: a late cancellation or rescheduling fee will apply if a cancellation or rescheduling occurs with less than 24 hours notice (during trading hours) or on the day of a scheduled appointment and the cancelled or rescheduled time slot is not able to be filled by someone on the clinic waiting list.
Some services may require a deposit to be paid in advance to secure your appointment.

What if I'm running late for my appointment?
If you are running late, please call the clinic as soon as possible to let us know. We will do our best to accommodate you; however, your treatment may need to be shortened so we can remain on schedule for other patients.
If you arrive too late for your appointment, we may need to reschedule your visit, and our cancellation policy may apply.
Can I bring my child or support person?
Yes. If you would like to bring a support person to your appointment, they are welcome to accompany you and may wait in the reception area during your treatment.
Children are also welcome; however, we ask that they are supervised at all times to help maintain a calm and relaxing environment for all patients. If you are attending for a treatment and bringing a young child who requires your attention, please contact us before your appointment so we can discuss the best option for your visit.
What is the policy on children at the clinic?
Vital Acupuncture & Massage is a family friendly clinic, catering for the needs of the whole family.
Children are welcome to attend clinic while their parents/guardians receive treatment.
However, due to health and safety concerns, as well as for the comfort of other patients, children must sit quietly and are not permitted to move about the clinic space unattended.
Children are also welcome patients at Vital Acupuncture & Massage
Please note:
It is clinic policy that a parent or guardian be present during the treatment of minors. (Minors is inclusive of anyone of the age 16 and under).
Personal conduct
As Vital Acupuncture & Massage is a multi-bed clinic, patients are asked to communicate quietly when in the waiting room and when discussing particulars of their situation with their practitioner. Patients are also asked to turn their mobile phones off or to put them on silent before entering the clinic so as not to disturb other patients.
Patients with communicable diseases, such as colds and flues, are asked to wear a protective mask and to observe regular hand washing and cough etiquette when presenting in clinic. Masks are available at the clinic and will be provided when required. Tissues are also available in the waiting room as well as in each treatment room.
Do I Need to Arrive Early for My First Appointment?
Yes. If you are a new patient, please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete your new patient paperwork.
The information you provide helps us understand your health history and ensures we have the details needed before your consultation begins. Arriving early also helps your appointment start on time.
Do I need to tell you about my medical history?
Yes. Before your first appointment, we ask you to complete a confidential health history form. This is a legal requirement for registered health practitioners and helps us provide treatment that is appropriate for your individual needs.
Please tell your practitioner about any current or past medical conditions, medications, allergies, recent injuries or surgeries, pregnancy, or any other relevant health information. It's also important to let us know if anything changes during your course of care.
In the unlikely event of a medical emergency requiring ambulance attendance, having an up-to-date medical history and medication list enables us to provide paramedics with relevant information that may assist in your care.
How do you clean and prepare treatment rooms and maintain hygiene standards?
At Vital Acupuncture & Massage, maintaining a clean and hygienic treatment environment is a priority. A fresh Purifas® face cradle cover and body sheet are used for every patient, and all towels and linen are freshly laundered after each treatment.
